How this is collected

Account counts come from querying the self.surf PDS directly via com.atproto.sync.listRepos and the Bluesky relay for Linkname records on other PDS providers. Growth data is derived from PLC directory audit logs for each DID's creation timestamp. Reachability is checked by resolving a sample of handles through the AT Protocol identity system.
